Architecture and Engineering Specifications
The speaker shall be of the full range, two-way passive type consisting of one 15" (380 mm) LF ferrite driver and one 1" (25 mm) HF ferrite compression driver with 1.75” voice coil. Performance specifications of a typical production unit shall meet or exceed the following: frequency response, measured with swept sine wave input, shall be flat within ±3 dB from 70 Hz to 20 kHz and within -10 dB from 43 Hz to 20 kHz. Nominal dispersion, at -6 dB points, shall average 80° H x 60° V, rotatable. Nominal impedance shall be passive: 8 Ohms.
Power handling shall be passive: 650 Watts continuous, 2,600 Watts peak. Sensitivity, measured on axis, mean averaged over the stated bandwidth, shall be 99 dB, 1 Watt @ 1 metre. Maximum SPL of 139 dB in passive mode (Average Peak level over overlap bandwidth. SPL level at 1 m under free field conditions, using pink noise with crest factor 4, with dedicated pre-set).
Dimensions: 700 mm high x 410 mm wide x 460 mm deep (27.56 x 16.14 x 18.11") Net weight: 31.5kg (69.4 lbs). The loudspeaker system shall be the Turbosound KT15-HP. No other loudspeaker shall be acceptable unless submitted data from an independent test laboratory verifies that the above combined performance / size specifications are equalled or exceeded.
