Meyer Sound Launching

On the evening of October 16, Hoang Bao Khoa Co., Ltd. had the launch of the American speaker brand: Meyer Sound at BBQ Smoke, 38 Street No. 1, Trung Son Area, Binh Chanh District.




Exclusively distributed in Vietnam, the Meyer Brand was founded by John and Helen Meyer in 1979. Meyer Sound has pioneered audio engineering innovation by creating comprehensive integrated solutions, including converter design, signal processing, power amplification, and even acoustic processing measurement systems.



Products displayed by Hoang Bao Khoa at the launch include: Full active Ultra -X40 speaker and 750 LFC subwoofer.



The Ultra-X40 is a full-range speaker model that inherits technological breakthroughs from its flagship line-array system: the Leo Family and optimized size tweaks to form a compact, versatile speaker. This is a speaker model that is favored by the company with a lot of enthusiasm, replacing its 35-year successful predecessor – the Meyer model UDP.



The speaker cabinet is made from black painted birch wood with a total weight of 11kg covered with water-resistant material. Each Ultra - X40 is used with 2 8-inch drivers & 1 3-inch compressed treb arranged in a coaxial model. Above the treble driver is a Constant-Q directional horn that can be rotated depending on the layout.




Inside the Ultra-X40 speaker body is a super-efficient 3-channel Class D amplifier capable of delivering 1,950 watts of peak power with a maximum sustained current of only 1.3 A (230 V AC). In tests, Ultra - X40 can reach an intensity of up to 130.5 dB at a distance of 1 meter (when measured with Meyer Sound M - Noise). Along with an extremely wide frequency response range of 56 Hz - 19 kHz, harmonic distortion of less than 0.02% and a large sound coverage (110° x 50°), the product is truly a breakthrough of the American speaker company from the performance until the size

On the power side, the ULTRA-X40 is integrated with Meyer Sound's Intelligent AC technology, allowing the device to automatically select voltage mode, prevent electric shock, filter EMI noise and turn on the speaker quietly.

Appearing with the ULTRA-X40 at the Meyer Sound launch event is a 750 LFC subwoofer that meets the bass range from 37 Hz - 110 Hz. This is a subwoofer model that is considered to have great capacity in a compact speaker box. The product only uses a single driver with a diameter of 15 inches and a Class D power module for a peak power of up to 3100W.
