This could be down to the fact that the USB port is already assigned for another purpose and plugging the mixer in is causing a conflict.
You may need to try the other USB sockets. Also, connecting via a USB HUB can cause conflicts so try direct to a USB socket. Finally, always make sure you have downloaded the latest ASIO drivers if using a Windows computer.
