Why won’t my X-Touch work with my AMD computer?
Unfortunately there is a compatibility issue between our X-Touch control surface and the Series 3 AMD Ryzen Boards and processors. This has been reported t our RCA team for investigation.
In the mean time we suggest that you try a Chipset/BIOS update on your computer as this may resolve the issue;

If performing the Update does not resolve the issue then your best option will be to connect the X-Touch to your computer or network using a Cat 5 Ethernet cable.
You will also need to download the RTPMIDI application by Tobias Erichsen.

1) Connect the X touch to your computer or network hub.
2) Power the X touch on while holding the Select button of channel one.
3) Using the Encoders, set the X-Touch up in the MC/HUI mode via Network. We always recommend using DHCP settings over static if your computer or hub is able to assign the IP information. You can also manually set the IP address, and subnet settings. We would recommend having the final octet (3 digits) 1 or 2 numbers above the IP address of your hub/computer. Please Ensure that you take note of the IP address on your X-Touch as you will need this in a later.
4) Once configured press select on channel one of your X-Touch to launch the console. You may need to press the 8th Encoder to rescan if no connection is found.
5) Once connected successfully, open the RTPMIDI Application. In the Setup menu under "My Sessions", click the "+" button to add a new session. You can rename this on the right hand side of the screen.
6) Under Directory press the "+" button and this will open the "Add Remote Peer" menu.

7) Give your device a name, and then under Hostname/IP Address enter the IP address from your X touch, then under port enter 5004 then press OK. 5004 is the TCP/UDP port used on your computer for RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol).

8) Under Session on the right hand side of the screen, press tick the "Enabled" box. RTPMIDI will then search for your X touch. Once connected successfully it will appear in the "Participants" List.
9) Open your chosen DAW and setup the X touch as a control surface. It will appear with the name you gave it earlier.
You should now be able to use the X touch to control your DAW.
An alternative option would be to purchase a PCIe USB Hub to connect to your Motherboard. Some customers have confirmed that this allows the X-Touch to successfully connect to their AMD board however we do not officially support this.
If you have any setup issues please submit a technical support ticket via the Music Tribe Community.
