The mounting surface is 17" x 11". The 1
SKB-AV8 was designed to work with any slant rack that is 8U or longer and has a slant in the 6-8 degree range, however, there is no guarantee that the lid for your case will fit over the 1SKB-AV8 (except when used with the 1SKB-R102/4/6). When mounting to a slant rack other than the 1SKB-R102/4/6, the 1SKB-AV8 is ~3.375" high when folded down (when measured from the top of the rail to the retaining lip on the front of the 1SKB-AV8's mounting surface). WHen folded down, the AV8 requires 13 3/4" clearance from back to front.
