The speaker shall be of the full range, two-way passive type consisting of one 6.5" (165 mm) LF driver and one 0.75” (20 mm) HF driver. Performance specifications of a typical production unit shall meet or exceed the following: frequency response, measured with swept sine wave input, shall be flat within ±3 dB from 90 Hz to 20 kHz and within -10 dB from 80 Hz to 20 kHz. Nominal dispersion, at -6 dB points, shall be 90° conical, averaged 1kHz – 10 kHz. Nominal impedance shall be passive: 8 Ohms.
Power handling shall be passive: 30 Watts continuous, 120 Watts peak. Sensitivity, measured on axis, mean averaged over the stated bandwidth, shall be 86 dB, 1 Watt @ 1 metre. Maximum SPL of 108 dB average measured at 1 m under free field conditions, using unweighted pink noise.
Dimensions: 320 mm high x 201 mm wide x 169 mm deep (12.6" x 7.91" x 6.65"). Net weight: 5.8 kg (12.8 lbs). The loudspeaker system shall be the Tannoy DVS 601. No other loudspeaker shall be acceptable unless submitted data from an independent test laboratory verifies that the above combined performance/size specifications are equalled or exceeded.
