Architecture and Engineering Specifications
The loudspeaker shall be of the three-way bi-amp switchable passive type consisting of one 12" (315 mm) LF driver and one 1.4" (36 mm) exit MHF compression driver (MF:4”/100mmVoice Coil diameter, HF 2.5” / 65mm Voice coil diameter). Performance specifications of a typical production unit shall meet or exceed the following: frequency response, measured with swept sine wave input, shall be flat within ±3 dB from 55 Hz to 20 kHz and within -10 dB from 39 Hz to 20 kHz. Nominal dispersion, at -6 dB points, shall average 40-100° H x 30° V. Nominal impedance shall be bi-amp mode: MHF: 12 Ohms, LF: 8 Ohms & passive mode 8 Ohms. Power handling shall be MHF: 190 Watts continuous, 690 Watts peak, LF: 500 Watts continuous, 2000 Watts peak. Sensitivity, measured on axis, mean averaged over the stated bandwidth, shall be MHF: 117.5 dB, 1 Watt @ 1 metre, LF: 101 dB, 1 Watt @ 1 metre. Maximum SPL of 140dB in Bi-Amp mode or 138 dB in passive mode (Average Peak level over overlap bandwidth. SPL level at 1 m under free field conditions, using pink noise with crest factor 4, with dedicated pre-set. Dimensions: 700 high x 358 wide x 460 mm deep (27.6 x 14 x 18.1"). Net weight: 28.5 kg (62.8 lbs). The loudspeaker system shall be the TURBOSOUND MC12-P. No other loudspeaker shall be acceptable unless submitted data from an independent test laboratory verifies that the above combined performance / size specifications are equalled or exceeded.
