Sennheiser IEM Transmitters and Receivers | Wireless In-Ear Monitoring

Sennheiser IEM transmitters and receivers form the wireless link between an audio system and a performer's in-ear monitors. The transmitter sends the monitoring signal, while the receiver worn by the performer receives it and passes the audio to the connected in-ear monitors. Together, they provide a practical wireless monitoring setup for singers, musicians and stage performers.

How Sennheiser IEM Transmitters and Receivers Work

In a typical IEM system, the transmitter is connected to the monitor output of a mixer or other audio system. It then sends the signal wirelessly to a compatible receiver. The performer can use the receiver with their in-ear monitors to hear the required mix during a performance.

This setup is useful when performers need to move freely around the stage without being restricted by monitoring cables. It can be used for individual performers as well as larger productions with multiple wireless monitoring channels.

Choosing the Right Sennheiser IEM Components

Compatibility between the transmitter, receiver and in-ear monitors is essential when building an IEM system. The number of performers, required monitoring mixes and wireless environment should also be considered when planning the setup.

For concerts, touring and professional stage productions, proper wireless frequency coordination is important, particularly when multiple wireless systems are operating at the same time.
