Two monitors, one reference standard
Neumann has just announced the KH 310 II and KH 350, two new-generation 3-way studio monitors that combine an acoustic platform developed over decades with powerful DSP technology. Both products are designed to deliver high performance, flexible integration into professional workflows, and the accuracy that has established Neumann’s position in professional recording studios around the world.
The KH 310 II continues the development of one of the industry’s highly regarded studio monitor models, while the KH 350 introduces an entirely new full-range monitor option, focusing on powerful low-frequency reproduction for larger listening spaces and immersive mixing rooms.
Common Technology Platform of the KH 310 II and KH 350
The KH 310 II and KH 350 are built on the same platform, comprising Neumann designed drivers, high power amplification and 32 bit DSP processing.
Both monitors support integration with MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment, Neumann's monitor alignment and room correction solution. In addition, both models feature analog connectivity and coaxial AES3 digital connectivity.
This common platform combines the midrange resolution that has been a key strength of the KH 310 with lower distortion, nearly twice the amplifier power and tighter production tolerances. As a result, the system delivers accurate stereo imaging, consistent performance and integration capabilities for stereo, surround and immersive audio configurations.
Both the KH 310 II and KH 350 feature:

Neumann KH 310 II: Refining a Reference Standard
The KH 310 II builds on the foundation of the KH 310, a monitor that has become a reference standard in many professional studios thanks to its accuracy, clear midrange reproduction and precise low frequency control.
One of the key features of the KH 310 II is its sealed cabinet design, which has been retained. This architecture enables the monitor to achieve fast transient response, low group delay and precise bass control.
Neumann's renowned 3 inch soft-dome midrange driver has also been retained, continuing to provide a natural tonal balance and clear vocal reproduction that have contributed to the reputation of the KH 310.
However, significant changes have been made inside the KH 310 II.
Neumann has equipped the new monitor with a newly developed woofer, significantly increased amplifier power, more advanced DSP processing, improved linearity and reduced distortion.
The KH 310 II achieves a maximum SPL that is 5 dB higher than the KH 310 A, while retaining the same cabinet dimensions. This allows the KH 310 II to be easily integrated into studios or installation systems previously using the KH 310.
As a result, the KH 310 II retains the characteristics that form the foundation of the KH 310 series, while enhancing accuracy, consistency and integration into modern workflows.
Neumann KH 350: Full Range Monitor with Powerful Low Frequency Reproduction
The KH 350 is an entirely new monitor option in Neumann's product portfolio.
Designed for both nearfield and midfield monitoring, the KH 350 combines Neumann's established midrange and high frequency platform with a bass-reflex design, enabling extended low frequency reproduction, increased low frequency energy and full range performance.
The KH 350 cabinet is nearly twice the size of the KH 310 II and uses a vertically arranged driver configuration. This design is intended for larger listening environments where higher SPL levels and the ability to work in immersive mix rooms are required.
Another notable feature is the large MMD waveguide, which provides precise directivity control across the entire frequency range.
Directivity control plays an important role in maintaining stable stereo imaging, ensuring accurate translation of mixes between playback systems and delivering consistent performance in the listening environment.
Thanks to these characteristics, the KH 350 can also be used as an LCR and surround speaker in immersive audio systems.
The KH 350 extends low frequency response down to 27 Hz (±6 dB), while providing higher output power and the ability to operate at greater listening distances.
These characteristics make the KH 350 suitable for a wide range of modern production workflows, including:

The introduction of the KH 310 II and KH 350 marks a new development in Neumann's monitor range.
The entire KH series is built around the same design philosophy: high linearity, low distortion and precise adaptation to the acoustic characteristics of the listening environment.
Thanks to this common platform, the models in the KH series can be combined in surround and immersive systems.
The KH series also continues the legacy of Klein + Hummel, a German loudspeaker brand with a long history in monitoring that became a reference standard for broadcasters and recording studios across Europe.
In 1967, Klein + Hummel introduced the OY 3 way monitor, one of the predecessors of today's KH monitoring systems and an important part of the development history of active monitors with active crossovers.
