Sennheiser HMDC 27 is a professional broadcast headset with an integrated dynamic microphone, designed for commentators, sound engineers, and professionals working in radio and television broadcasting. Its key features include NoiseGard™ active noise cancellation and ActiveGard® technology, which helps limit sudden high sound levels, allowing users to focus on listening and communication in noisy environments.

NoiseGard™ - Active Noise Reduction of up to 15 dB

The HMDC 27 features switchable NoiseGard™ technology, which provides additional environmental noise reduction of up to 15 dB. This feature helps improve audio clarity and communication when working in stadiums, studios, or other noisy environments.

In addition, ActiveGard® limits the sound pressure level to 110 dB SPL at 1 kHz when activated, helping protect hearing from unexpected high sound peaks. These two technologies serve different purposes: NoiseGard™ reduces ambient noise, while ActiveGard® controls the sound level delivered to the headphones.

Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone for Broadcast Environments

The HMDC 27 uses a Dynamic microphone with a Supercardioid pick-up pattern, focusing on voice pickup from the front while reducing unwanted sound from other directions. This design is suitable for live commentary, broadcasting, and applications that require clear voice transmission in noisy environments.

The Microphone boom can be switched to either the left or right side, offering flexible wearing options. The headphones also feature a Flip-away design, allowing one earcup to be rotated away from the ear when monitoring external sounds is necessary.

Closed-back Design for Long-lasting Comfort

The Closed-back Over-ear design surrounds the ears, providing passive noise isolation and helping users focus on audio content. The SPLIT headband distributes contact pressure across the head, while soft ear cushions enhance comfort during extended use.

The HMDC 27 weighs approximately 250 g (without cable). Its modular design allows the use of various compatible cables and microphone booms, depending on the system configuration.
