What is a RJ45 etherCON connector and where is it used?

etherCONs are ruggedized RJ45 connectors for harsh and demanding environment. RJ45 connectors are used for data transmission like Ethernet and digital audio applications. Typical applications are Cobra Net connectivity (digital audio network), connection of lighting applications, industrial ethernet, AES/EBU transmissions, etc. 

Do the etherCON IDC chassis connectors accept stranded and solid wires?

Yes, it's possible to punch down stranded and solid AWG 24 wires.

Do the RJ45 etherCON cable connectors NE8MC* come with the RJ45 plug?

No, we only provide the housing, chuck and bushing. For more details see product description.

What is the max. panel thickness on the D-series etherCON?

The max. size is 4 mm.

Do I have to order etherCON mounting screws seperately?

All feed-through chassis connector and receptacles with IDC termination come with the appropriate mounting screws. Cat6 and PCB versions have no screws included.
