In order to play audio from your computer into the mixer, 1 or more of the channels on the mixer need to be set to receive their signal over USB.
To do this using the X Air Edit software on your Mac or PC:
1. Open the IN/OUT menu
2. Open the USB Returns page
3. Set USB 1-2 to the desired input channels. Using the AUX input 17/18 can be idea because it saves all of the other input channels for analog inputs so you can continue to record with them.
4. Select the Channels that you set USB 1-2 in the last step
5. Click the Input tab at the top of the screen
6. Change the Channel Source to USB, also confirm that the USB Return dropdown says USB 1-2
7. Assign the Output of your software to USB channels 1-2
